1. He got his goal and vision from his father that he never knew.  So he wanted to make sure that his son knew who he was.  He wanted to make sure that he was always there for his son and that everything would be okay.  If he wasn't there for his son then his son would never know what a great man he was.  If his son knows who he was then his son will be a better father because he always had a father that took care of him so he will take care of his children when he becomes a father.  Having that fatherly figure in your life can really help you be the best person you can be.  The father is usually the leader of the family and keeps the family strong.

2. The relationship between starting with the end in mind and risk taking is pretty similar.  In order to reach your end result you have to take risks.  Risk taking is an important role in life.  Sometimes when you really want something you have to take risks in order to achieve what you want.  Life is full of risks and some may help you and some will hurt you.  Like some people say there are no mistakes in life.  There are no mistakes in life because the choices make you who you are.  They can lead you to greatness or lead you on a not so great path that you may be able to get out of but maybe not.  It's like the economy you can help it but not completely control it.  It can get out of hand or it can be steady and be easy to handle at times.
